| Die Beschriftung der Walzen ist: Jacobs Oregon. Der Kontakt wurde durch G. Herzog vermittelt (Brief v. 22.4.1930). 1932 wurde eine Auswahl von insgesamt 27 Walzen nach Berlin geschickt (W. 20 - 37, 43 - 51) und als FE 17 inventarisiert. Umfangreiche Korrespondenz liegt vor. Transkriptionen und Texte, die G. Herzog angefertigt hat, befinden sich in ATM. Lt. Brief v. 22.4.1931 wurden Je drei Kopien der in Berlin galvanisierten Walzen in die USA gesandt: einer an das "Bureau of American Ethnology" (heute in LC Washington, vgl. FCP vol 3:85-87), einer an G. Herzog (heute in ATM Indiana University, vgl. EFR 54-185-F ) und der dritte an Jacobs selbst. Andere Nummern als die der in Berlin galvanisierten Walzen tauchen in der Literatur nicht auf. |
