Description:The essence of Raks Sharki: This selection of classical dances was arranged by the dancer Jalilah and recorded in Cairo with a full-sized orchestra conducted by Mokhtar Al Said, a well-known composer for film, radio and theatre for the last 30 years. "Raks Sharki" includes a number of compositions written by Mokhtar Al Said, songs from Um Kalsoum's repertoire as well as succinct percussion solos on the tabla performed by Khamis Henkish, a master of the art. The authentic sound of Raks Sharki.
